The company has a wide network of 2200 dealers served by 70 cement dumps strategically located in the North India and part of Western India.
Recognising that Kota city is emerging as one of the fastest growing cities of the country which has a large population of elite, educated and quality conscious consumers, JK Lakshmi Cement decided to choose Kota for its RMC business expansion in Rajasthan.
The fully computerised facility of Kota will provide the desired springboard to speed up the construction projects in and around Kota.
The plant is a Schwing Stetter (Germany) make CP-30 RMC plant. It is fully computerised plant with modern and latest laboratory to provide concrete of international standards.
Speaking at this occasion C.S.Sadasivan, Chief Executive Marketing, said, "The Company is a pioneer of commercial RMC in Rajasthan. Its first RMC plant in Jaipur was in 2006. The company also has RMC plant at Kushkhera and the Kota plant is its third plant of Rajasthan."
JK Lakshmi power mix concrete will also provide niche products like Self Compacting Concrete (SCC), Pervious Concrete, Heat Resisting Concrete, Light weight concrete, Fibre concrete etc. to the consumers which are generally not produced at Site Mixed Concrete.
RMC is a modern technology. It refers to concrete that is specifically manufactured for delivery to the customer's construction site in a freshly mixed unhardened state. Concrete itself is a mixture of Portland cement, water and aggregates comprising sand and gravel or crushed stone. It enhances construction speed and saves time and money. RMC is a better quality concrete which eliminates requirement of storage space for basic materials at site which results in avoidance of wastage of basic material.
JK Lakshmi Cement plans to add 10 JK Lakshmi Power Mix Stations (RMC Plants) in next 3 years. The Indian market for Ready Mix Concrete has been showing a consistent growth, year over year. With the big infrastructure projects turning to RMC, experts in this segment expect a growth rate of 25% p.a. in India, the company said in a release.
