Lodha Sells Rs 1,600 Crore worth Homes in up-coming Thane Project

Lodha Group, one of India’s leading real estate developers, has reached another milestone with its new development in Thane selling over 2,000 homes worth over Rs 1600 crore prior to its project launch.

The Group received applications from over 3,000 home buyers across India to book flats in the first phase of the upcoming project.

In less than two years of acquiring the 88-acre land parcel from Clariant Chemicals in Thane, one of the largest land deals in the country, Lodha Group has now announced its mega plans for an expansive residential neighbourhood in Prime Central Thane.


It will be developed in multiple phases, with the first phase comprising 3,500 smart sized 1 and 2 bedroom residences, housed in 27-30 storied elegant towers around a master planned development featuring over 80% open spaces. The company said that about 60 per cent of the total residences planed for the phase one have been sold out under the pre-launch.

The pre-launch sale of Lodha Group's new project is a testimony to recovery sign in the real estate sector. Industry experts have attributed the Group's success to the increasing preference of home buyers buying real estate in Mumbai from developers who have a proven track record and credibility.

Commenting on the development, Prashant Bindal, Chief Sales Officer (CSO) of Lodha Group said, "It is very heartening to see the interest of homebuyers in this grand development. Radius Launches Ultra-luxury Residential Project in Bandra

Radius Developers has launched ultra-luxury residential project titled 'Project Bandra', a joint venture between Radius Developers, DB Realty and ABIL, located off BKC Road near MIG Cricket Club.

Spreading across five acres, Project Banda offers 2, 3 & 4 BHK and will have 22-29 storey towers, the company said in a release.

Radius has ropped in well-known architect Hafeez Contractor for this project. While AEDAS will take take care of interior designs, POD Tierra from Singapore will do the landscaping for the project.


Project Bandra's innovative z-shaped layout offers views of the stunning Arabian Sea on one side and lush greens on the other. The unique master plan optimizes the natural essentials like ventilation and sunlight, ensuring that every single residence is airy and bright.

With pricing of the flat starts from Rs. 3.6 cr, the project will be completed by 2018.

Besides three majestic grand double height entrance lobbies spread over 37000 sq. ft. and multi-activity landscaped area, there are a host of amenities that will pamper and invigorate the residents. The project boasts of over 50% open and green spaces.

Chintels launches residential projects in New Gurgaon

New Delhi:  Chintels India, a real estate development company, with an extensive presence in Delhi and NCR,  has announced the launch of over five million square feet of residential and commercial development projects valued at around Rs 3500 crore in current market rates.

The projects spread across Sectors 106, 108 and 109 of New Gurgaon will be a part of Chintels Metropolis, a 400-acre plus development spread across several sectors of Gurgaon. Constro 2012 focuses on affordable housing and green technology


Pune, Maharashtra: Constro 2012, an international exhibition on construction machinery, materials, methods and projects, was inaugurated by well known architect Hafeez Contractor here at Agriculture College grounds, Range Hill on Thursday. Organised by Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation (PCERF), an NGO working in the interest of infrastructure and construction Industry, the four-day event is showcasing various aspects of technologies and innovations in the construction industry.

“The challenge before the construction industry is to provide affordable housing to 70 per cent of the population of the country,” Contractor said after inaugurating the event.

Pointing out that increasing the floor space index (FSI) will play a major role in solving the housing problem, Contractor said, “The demand for space in the office sector apart from housing is also on the rise and new townships on the lines of Chicago city will have to be built every year. Affordable housing means that houses should be made available to people at low costs as today the property rates are just going beyond common man’s reach.”

Shrikant Nivsarkar, president of PCERF said that as many as 300 stalls, both from India as well as abroad, are displaying products with themes on renewable energies for housing, innovative and lightweight construction technologies, affordable housing and sustainable construction.

Apart from home grown construction technologies, we also have technologies and products from China, Japan, Italy, Germany, France & Singapore on display, said Naren Kothari, chairman of Constro 2012.

Informing that the event itself an example for energy conservation, Kothari said, “We are using three windmills, each producing 5KW along with solar panels to generate 30KW of electricity for the event. The power is stored in a series of batteries and used for entrance and open area lighting. We will also be converting all organic waste generated at the exhibition into manure and give it free to the needy. We are looking futuristically and want to make a case for implementation of green power technology for housing societies and new projects.”

PCERF safety awards were also given away by J R Tanti of Synefra Engineering and Construction Ltd to Rohan Builders, Millenium engineers and Contractors Private Ltd, Devi constructions, BG Shrike technologies while the best civic engineer award was presented to Nandkishore Jagtap of Pune Municipal Corporation.
