Mumbai to host 5th MBSS Expo

Mumbai: INIS Enterprises will be hosting 5the edition of Metal Buildings & Steel Structures Expo 2014 (MBSS'14) from 22nd to 24th May, 2014 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.

Slated to be India's biggest event focusing on the modern methods for fast track steel building construction, MBSS'14 would showcase and disseminate knowledge on structural steelwork fabrication, pre-engineered building systems and its allied products & services.

MBSS'14 will prove to be an ideal platform for exploring new business opportunities but also go a step ahead in dissemination of knowledge about the world class technology / services through a one-day conference hosted alongside the expo on 23rd May. Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Private Limited, belonging to one of the largest professional services organization is the Knowledge Associate for this event.

Exhibitor profile includes Structural Steel Fabricators, Structural Steel Suppliers, Steel Tubes / Pipes / Structural Hollow Sections, Erectors, Pre-Engineered Building Systems (PEB), Pre-painted Metal Coils, Metal Cladding, Metal Decking, Metal Profiles, Metal Roofing Systems, Sandwich Panels, Insulations, Estimators, Fastening / Fixing Systems, Fire Protection Solutions/ Passive Fire, Protection - Drywalls, Calcium Silicate / Boards, Firestops, Fireproof Sprays / Coats / Plasters, Floorings, Roofing/Structural Steel Machinery & Tools, Scaffolding, Space Frames, Software Solutions, Steel Gratings & Cable Trays, Welding Machines & Electrodes, etc.

Visitor Profile includes key buyers, decision makers, Architects & Designers, Builders / Developers, Consultants / Structural Engineers, EPC Contractors, Government Organizations, Industrial Applications - Oil & Gas, Power, Steel, etc., Industry Associations, Metro Rail, Airport, Seaport Authorities, Primary / Secondary Steel Suppliers, Project Management Companies, etc.

The event has continued to attract the support of key industry associations - Institute for Steel Development and Growth (INSDAG), Indian Association of Structural Engineers (IASE), Steel Wire Manufacturers Association of India (SWMAI), All India Association of Industries (AIAI) and other influential trade bodies who have pledged their support to this important industry initiative.

The companies synonymous with structural steel fabrication and pre-engineered metal building solutions within India and abroad will be participating in this event. The Participants of this event are the trailblazer of the structural steelwork fabrication and the pre-engineered building systems industry. The event concept is not only encouraged by them but also endorses their confidence seeing their constant participation.

Steel/composite structures are bringing in a new revolution within the construction industry predominantly in the building construction. Although, concrete has been the dominant building material for a long time especially in India, there are various economic and social benefits of using steel in construction like material costs will be lower with steel than with any other alternative, cost effectiveness in long run, flexibility, sustainability, ductibility, Quicker construction time, Reduced time-related construction cost, Shorter Build Time, Earlier Revenue, Higher Revenue, Greater Flexibility and Better Internal Space, Better Design, Improved Site Health & Safety, Better Quality etc.

Besides these advantages of steel, it is notable that environmental advantages of constructional steel is gaining importance as the sensitivities of societies for the green environment is increasing each day. It is a commonly accepted fact that the steel presents a lot of positive environmental impacts when it comes to sustainability, recyclability and reusability issues and these advantages have made steel construction a preferred choice.

The construction sector in many countries has embraced the usage of steel in achieving greater sustainability in construction. India has a potential to more than double its Structural Steel consumption over the next decade. Indian Scenario is set to change. Factors like wide availability of steel, improvement in fabrication facilities and realization that building cost is small fraction of other costs has made it possible. Airports, Malls, Warehouses, Factory buildings have now shifted to Steel and slowly and gradually now the High Rises and other building constructions are using Steel beams & columns framing. Also, good progress has being made to overcome certain issues evolving around steel construction.
